Aleksandr Agamirzov

is a tenor with a large expressive voice that is capable of capturing audience with both volume and passion. He has appeared with opera companies throughout the Europe including Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Spain,
Netherlands and Russia. Aleksandr Agamirzov began his operatic career as a leading tenor with Kaunas Musical Theater and Vilnus Opera House in Lithuania.

 

The audience has always praised Mr. Agamirzov for his sensational powerful voice and intelligent acting as Alfredo in Verdi’s La Traviata, Kanio in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, Pinkerton in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, Eric in Wagner’s Der Fliengende Hollander and many others. He has won several vocal competitions in Lithuania and Russia. Kaunas Music Academy has given him an opportunity to express himself as a very inspiring music educator.
Aleksandr also enjoys concert and oratorio performances. His singing with the State Symphony Orchestra of Lithuania, Spain Symphony Orchestra, and Amsterdam Concertgebouw in Orff’s Trionfo de Afrodite, Verdi’s Requiem, Beethoven’s Letzter Satz der Neunten Symphonie was remarkable.

Since 1996 Aleksandr Agamirzov has continued his career as a classical singer and a pedagogue in USA. He’s appeared as a soloist with orchestras, oratorio societies and chamber music ensembles including such ensembles as La Jolla Symphony and Chorus, San Diego Spreckels Organ Society, Mandeville Auditorium, California Foundation for International Global Arts, Los Angeles-Petersburg Folk Orchestra, Hemet Concert Association and Fresno International Music Society. Mr. Agamirzov has an engagement with St. John’s Episcopal Church as a soloist of sacred works. Future plans include more operatic recitals in San Diego and Los Angeles.

Mr. Agamirzov received his BA in Choir Conductor and Piano Pedagogue from Institute of Performing Arts in Krasnodar and MA in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogue from Glinka’s Conservatory of Music in Nizhny Novgorod (former Gorky). Russian audience welcomed his debut as Don Juan in Stone Guest and as Lensky in Eugene Onegin on stage of Gorky Opera House.

Aleksandr Agamirzov was a semifinalist in the Classical Singer Competition 2005 in New York, a finalist in the 2004 Vocal Competition (The New Jersey Alliance of Performing Artists) and a second –place winner in the International Vocal Competition (San Francisco Concerto Orchestra) 1998.
