THE FINAL JUDGMENT

Who hasn't heard this expression?
Who hasn't been a little afraid of what it means?
We're talking about a judgment that doesn't come from the court, even if it was the superior court.
I read Albert Camus's words: "Don't wait for the final judgment. It happens every day'', and it gave me food for thought. My question is: ''Who invented this expression?

To read or hear this expression, everyone will associate it with religion, all religions. So it must be religion that invented it, with God as the main character. While we're supposed to love God for all his goodness, the fact remains that every time a person dies, it's the end of the world and the final judgment.
We all wonder what questions we'll be asked to gain access to what's known as Paradise. Phew! I say that word, even though I don't know much about it. But, to please the reader, I'll pass. Apparently, the question is: "What have you done in your life?

At that point, I'd be happy to give my own reflection. I don't believe in God or the devil. I prefer love to war, silence to hatred. I don't want to admit that once I'm dead, it's the end of the world for me, and what you call the Last Judgment.
Perhaps, like Sidney Poitier, I should believe that: "History makes the last judgment". But for some, the history of the world is the judgment of the world, and that's where I've lived. And what becomes of the judge in all this? Alain wrote: "Judgment calls for proof, and proof strengthens judgment".
Why should we be afraid of judgment when we experience it every day?

Albert Camus cut something very similar. Did he find it in the Talmud, Rosh Hachana, 16, which says: "Every day, every hour, man is subject to judgment".

And is my memory the friend or foe of judgment? Is heaven's judgment worth earth's? It seems that reading a lot makes for better judgment. In this case, it's all to my advantage.

And of course, I looked everywhere and found dozens of references in the catechism. Here are a few: Revelations 22:12 "Behold, I come quickly, and my recompense is with me, to render to every man according to his work" Matthew 13:36-37, "I say to you: On the day of judgment, men will give account for every idle word they have spoken. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned". Romans 2:12: "All those who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all those who have sinned with the law will be judged by the law".

I found few passages in Judaism, namely Psalm 51:4 "I have sinned against you alone, And have done what is evil in your sight. So that you will be just in your sentence, blameless in your judgment."

Psalm 98:9 « Before the Lord! For he is coming to judge the earth; he will judge the world with justice, and the peoples with righteousness. ""

Isaiah 16:5 "And the throne shall be established by mercy; And there shall sit faithfully in the house of David a judge who loves justice and is zealous for righteousness. -

And this is what I found in Islam: the resurrection and the Day of Judgment. Islam teaches that all humans will be resurrected for judgment on the Day of Resurrection (Yawm al-Qiyamah). It will be a day of truth and justice, when every action, word and intention will be brought to the fore. Nothing will be hidden from Allah.

"On the Day when they emerge from the graves, nothing will be hidden from them from Allah. Whose sovereignty is it on that Day? To Allah, the One, the Almighty." Ghāfir 40:16⧉

Each person will receive their book of deeds - those who succeed will receive it in their right hand, while the failures will receive it in their left hand. Scales will be set up to weigh actions, and each soul will receive a full reward for what it has accomplished.

As for Paradise (Jannah) Jannah is the eternal abode of peace and reward for those who believe in Allah, follow His commandments and live a righteous life. It is described in the Koran as a place of unimaginable beauty, joy and closeness to Allah. Rivers of milk and honey, gardens of delight and pure companions are among its many blessings.

"Verily, those who have believed and performed good deeds - they will have the Gardens of Paradise as their abode."

Al-Kahf 18:107⧉ The greatest reward for the inhabitants of Paradise will be to see Allah and live eternally in His satisfaction. Entrance to Paradise is by Allah's mercy, granted to those who strive in faith and good deeds.
