amy frost

Amy is a licensed marriage and family therapist with a private practice in San Rafael, California. Her experience includes working with individuals, couples and families at several non-profits including Family Service Agency of San Francisco, Bay Area Community Resources and WOMAN Inc.

Through her experience, Amy has found that regardless of the reason a family seeks counseling, substance use, abuse or addiction often contributes to family dysfunction. Families develop systems of healthy and unhealthy skills to cope with the substance user or addict’s behavior.

Amy’s approach is to help family members explore their family system, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and develop strategies for making positive changes. She works with individuals (adults and children 10 and up), couples, and families.
