OUR STORY

Patricia Pike began CanAm Interventions five years ago after 21 years of work experience and education in the addiction and mental health fields, both in Canada and the United States. It became apparent to Patricia that there was a great need to engage family members, friends and employers that were struggling with addicted and untreated loved ones in order to start their own healing. Can Am Interventions' vision and mission statement centers around the concept that if the family makes changes, the untreated person will have a higher rate of success to recover and become a productive member of society.

Through the experience of working with families and the resulting success CanAm Interventions became real and took on a life of its own; Ms. Pike's fundamental belief comes from a clear understanding of a “Community Based Approach” and “Best Practices & Evidence Based” framework to address chemical dependencies and destructive behaviors within a “family system”. Using the approach of treating the “family disease” by meeting with the family and the untreated person, the process of discovering and uncovering the truth of the “dis-ease with self” can begin.

The process of healing only happens when everyone comes together and honestly shares with each other to break the silence, and not buy into the “lie of addiction” but acknowledge the impact addiction has on the family relationship.
