First treatment day

On the first day of treatment, we need you to spend about 1.5 hours with us to complete the final forms that relate to patient privacy, emergency contact details, consent to TMS therapy, your means of payment, and of course to receive your first treatment session. We will also ask you to complete a questionnaire – the Beck Depression Inventory – that allows us to assess the state of your depression. 

Your treatment will be provided by a trained TMS technician who will endeavor to answer all your questions that relate to this form of treatment. It all happens in a comfortable office setting. You may read during treatment, or just relax quietly.  We encourage you to discuss your treatment and your responses to it with your technician – your experience of it is a valuable guide to us in making it as effective as possible.

Subsequent treatments follow on a daily basis – 5 days a week for 4-6 weeks.  Quite often, you will start to feel your mood change by the end of the second week of therapy. 

We will ask to you complete the Beck Depression Inventory periodically through your course of treatment and when your treatment course is finished.
